Before his hips troubled him, Ben was shown in conformation. He had a total of 12 points with both majors. At the age of 18 mos. we had him x-rayed and was told he had moderate hip dysplasia. He has now been retired and neutured due to his health and lives the true life of a dog. He is in pain at times due to his hips and is limited in his walking but he maintains his happy go lucky spirit.
Ben has a very gentle and loving spirit. He is always happy and playful. I have not met a person that has not fallen in love with Ben. He has been trained as a service dog but due to his hip dysplasia he has been retired. He still loves to work and he still brings in the mail and helps with the laundry. He loves everyone he meets, especially children. He loves to eat and his favorite food of all is ice cream.
Benny is our first swissy. The one that got us "hooked" on this great breed. We will always be grateful to him for that.
